Afternoon High Tea Policy

 

1. Definitions

TBTC – The Bears Trading Company, provider of the Afternoon High Tea.
AHT – Afternoon High Tea, the product being booked.
No Show – Failure to attend the booked AHT without prior cancellation.

2. Booking Methods

AHT bookings can be made via:

• Telephone – Call 01227 264950.

• In Person – At TBTC, 134 Tankerton Road, Tankerton-on-Sea, Kent, CT5 2AN.

• Email – Send to thebearstradingcompany@gmail.com with subject line “Booking”.

Booking Information Required:

• Date & time of booking

• Full name

• Contact number

• Number of guests

• Dietary requirements (including allergies, intolerances, preferences, religious or cultural needs - we can not cater for Dairy Free or Vegan)

Data Storage: Name and telephone number will be securely stored in our booking system for 12 months and will not be used for marketing. No other personal details will be stored.

Booking Confirmation & Payment:

• Telephone/Email/Website bookings – Bank transfer details will be provided.

• In-person bookings – Details will be recorded in our booking system.

• Full payment is required at time of booking.

• Gift vouchers must be provided at booking; Paw Token vouchers can be used toward payment.

3. Payment Terms

• Payment in full is required at time of booking.

• Gift voucher numbers must be provided at booking and presented on arrival.

• Paw Token gift vouchers may be used toward the balance.

• ​

4. Cancellation Policy

• More than 24 hours’ notice – Booking may be rebooked for another date.

• Less than 24 hours’ notice – AHT can be collected as a takeaway at the original booking time (same day only).

• No Show – No refund or rebooking will be offered.

5. Usage Conditions

• Each AHT serves one person (adult or child).

• Adult – Over 13 years and 1 day.

• Child – Over 4 years and under 13 years.

• Sharing of an AHT is not permitted.

• Minimum order – Two (2) AHTs per booking.

• If sharing occurs, a table charge of 50% of the AHT price per additional person applies. TBTC reserves the right to withhold the product until this fee is paid.

• Drinks included: English Breakfast Tea (including decaf) or Americano (including decaf).

• Additional guests may join the table but must order food/beverages from the menu before AHT is served (standard menu prices apply).

6. Exclusions

Drinks not included:

• Mocha, Cappuccino, Espresso, Flat White, Latte

• Hot Chocolate, Speciality Teas, Milkshakes, Iced Coffee

• Alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic variations

• Bottled soft drinks (except Folkington’s soft drinks, which are included in children’s AHT)

• Promotional drinks or seasonal specials

Extras not included:

• Flavoured syrups

• Ice cream

• Any menu items not listed as included above
