Step through the door and you'll quickly discover that The Bears is a little different.
Inspired by our love of rustic lodges and trading posts of the American wilderness, we've created a warm and welcoming coffee house with plenty of British character — timber, bears, curiosities and more than a few surprises tucked away around the room.
Settle in with a coffee, enjoy something from the kitchen, meet friends for a catch-up or simply take some time looking around.

OUT THE BACK
There's more to The Bears than meets the eye.
Wander through The Bears and out the back and you'll find our garden — a little green escape tucked away behind the coffee house.
With plenty of outdoor seating surrounded by plants and flowers, it's a lovely spot for coffee, lunch or a catch-up with friends when the weather is on our side.
And four-legged Bears are very welcome too.

A generous Bears take on a much-loved British tradition.
Our Afternoon High Tea is made for those occasions when coffee and cake simply aren't quite enough.
Enjoy a generous selection of freshly prepared sandwiches and savouries, followed by scones and an assortment of cakes and sweet treats — all served with unlimited English breakfast tea or Americano coffee and presented in true Bears style.

Meet the Bears
More than a coffee house. It’s our story.
The Bears Trading Company began in 2016 with a simple idea:
"to create somewhere a little different."
Somewhere warm and welcoming, where good food, proper coffee and a slightly ridiculous number of bears could all live happily under one roof.
Over the years, The Bears has grown into far more than we originally imagined. It has become a place filled with familiar faces, friendships, laughter and plenty of stories.
Behind it all are Peter and Darren — the two Bears responsible for Beartopia and everything you see around you.
Ten years on, we're still incredibly proud of the wonderfully quirky little place we've created.
